Kingdom in Crisis
Unopia was a land of prosperity and peace until King Eleos III's untimely and mysterious death threw everything into chaos. His eldest son, Prince Akraias, vanished without a trace, leaving room for wild speculation that implicated his brother, Prince Kapros, in a sinister plot to claim the throne. Crowned as King Kapros II amid whispers of illegitimacy, his rule is fraught with uncertainty.
Ogre Onslaught and Shifting Alliances
Shortly after Kapros ascended the throne, Golath Raal, the long-dormant king of the ogres, staked his claim on the vulnerable Outerlands. While most of the king's vassals remained skeptical and unwilling to fight for a ruler they considered a usurper, some guardians defected to join the ogres, strengthening their ranks and honing their tactical acumen. These rebellious guardians, already skilled traders, made Golath Raal's reign of terror all the more daunting.
Beacons of Hope
In this dark era, only the Knights of Alduran, valorous warriors from a land beyond the treacherous Ethereal Domain, heeded the call to defend Unopia. Their arrival signaled new hope for the beleaguered people, but also marked them as targets for both the ogres and rogue guardians.
